Parliament extends martial law in Ukraine for another three months

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has extended martial law. This legal regime will remain in effect for at least another three months, until 23 August. According to the decree of President Volodymyr Zelensky, martial law is extended from 05:30 on May 25, 2022 for another 90 days. The legal regime of martial law in Ukraine has been in effect since the day of the full-scale invasion of Russia - from February 24, 2022. Martial law in Ukraine is introduced in the presence of threats to national security. It is initiated by the National Security and Defense Council, coordinated by the President and approved by the Verkhovna Rada. Under the terms of martial law, the following restrictions apply:
