The Migration Service is launching a service of simultaneous registration of ID-cards and passports

Due to the military aggression of the Russian Federation on the territory of Ukraine, there is a need for quick and convenient registration or renewal of lost passport documents. The Government of Ukraine has adopted a resolution introducing a pilot project on the simultaneous registration (including instead of lost or stolen documents) or exchange of a passport of a citizen of Ukraine and an international passport of a citizen of Ukraine. Previously, it was possible to issue a passport only if you have an ID card. In the future, in case of loss of documents or the need to exchange them due to changes in personal data, a person may apply for a simultaneous issuance of an ID-card and a passport, without the need to first issue an ID-card, and only after receiving it to apply for a foreign passport. It should be noted that in the framework of this registration, the application for a passport is submitted by a person from 14 years of age in person, without the presence of a legal representative.  To obtain such a service, a person may apply to territorial bodies / territorial subdivisions of the State Migration Service, administrative service centers or separate subdivisions of the state enterprise "Document" (citizen service centers "Passport Service").
