Russian occupants killed 128 Ukrainian children, at least 172 were injured

Since the beginning of the full-scale war of the russian federation against Ukraine, 128 children have died, and more than 172 have been injured. Children suffered the most in the following regions: Kyiv - 64, Kharkiv - 43, Donetsk - 43, Chernihiv - 32, Mykolaiv - 24, Kyiv - 16, Zhytomyr - 15, Kherson – 15, and Sumy - 14. These numbers were published by the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office on March 24, as of morning. “The body of 11-year-old gymnast Kateryna was found in Mariupol under the rubble of a house shelled by the occupiers. The little athlete has repeatedly won major competitions,” mentioned in the post. The death of young athlete Katya (ed. - short from Kateryna) Dyachenko became known on March 23. The Mariupol City Council reported that the shelling of the russian occupants hit the house where the girl was at the time. Her coach Anastasia Meshchanenkova announced the death of the child. The bombings and shelling damaged 566 educational institutions, 73 of which were destroyed entirely. Of this number, more than 230 schools and 155 kindergartens were damaged and destroyed. The most damages to educational infrastructure were observed in Donetsk, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Sumy, Kyiv, Kherson, Chernihiv regions and in the city of Kyiv. In addition, more than 40 facilities for children were destroyed, including medical facilities, art schools, sports facilities, and libraries. The Office of the Prosecutor General emphasizes that these data are not final due to the impossibility of inspecting the places of shelling where active hostilities are taking place and in the temporarily occupied territories.
