The declining fortune of the naira in the interbank foreign exchange market worsened yesterday as it depreciated by 260 kobo against the dollar.

The Dalasi witnessed very few changes as per last week's trading figures and that is a piece of very good news.

TALK of replacing the dollar with another trading currency is not new, but what is new is that France and Russia have joined those wanting to oust the dollar whose use causes huge distortions in the marketplace.
